Kive is available as an app in the ChatGPT app directory. Add it once and ChatGPT can browse your Kive workspace, generate product images and videos, and edit visuals from any chat. For what the connector can do and how credits work, see the MCP overview.

Before you start

Make sure you have:
  • A Kive account with access to the workspace you want to use
  • Available Kive credits for image generation, video generation, or image edits
  • Permission to authorize ChatGPT to use your Kive account

Connect ChatGPT to Kive

Find Kive in ChatGPT

Open Kive’s page in the ChatGPT app directory, or search for Kive under Settings → Apps & Connectors in ChatGPT.

Add the app

Select Kive and connect it. No developer mode or server URL is needed.

Authorize Kive

ChatGPT redirects you to Kive to sign in and approve access. Follow the prompts to authorize.

Confirm it works

In a new chat, ask: Show my Kive workspaces. ChatGPT should list the Kive workspaces your account can access.

  • Show me some Kive studio options for this product and let me pick one
  • Generate one 4:5 product image in Kive with the studio I picked
  • What video presets does Kive have for product videos?

  • Edit this image in Kive: make the background warmer
Mentioning Kive in generation prompts helps ChatGPT route the request to the Kive app instead of its built-in image generator.

Managing the connection

You can remove the app from ChatGPT’s app settings, or revoke access from Kive under Settings → MCP → Apps, where ChatGPT appears as a verified client. See Manage and troubleshoot connections for details.
