How custom properties work
Custom properties extend default metadata with workspace-specific fields. These properties appear on every asset, enabling consistent data entry and powerful filtering. Key benefits include enhanced organization, standardized metadata across teams, advanced search capabilities, and workflow-specific categorization.Steps
Create metadata fields that apply to all workspace assets:1
Access workspace settings
Click the workspace dropdown in the top-left corner and select Settings
2
Navigate to properties
Click the Custom Properties tab in the settings modal
3
Add new property
Click Add a property to create a new metadata field
4
Choose property type
Select from available field types based on your data needs
5
Configure options
Set up dropdown choices, validation rules, or default values as needed
6
