Credits are Kive’s currency for AI features. You’ll spend them when generating images, editing content, or training models. Each workspace shares a monthly credit pool that resets with your billing cycle.

How credits work

Think of credits like tokens at an arcade — different actions cost different amounts based on how much computing they need. Draft previews are always free, so you can experiment before spending. Unused credits carry over to the next month, up to your monthly plan limit. When your billing cycle resets, you’ll get your monthly allocation added to any unused credits (capped at your plan limit). This means you can accumulate up to 2x your monthly credits.

View your credit balance

You can check your current credit balance at any time in SettingsSubscription. Before generating content, you can see how many credits each generation will consume by clicking the settings icon (gear icon) next to the generation button in the lower right corner of the generation bar. For editing tools and other features, the credit cost is displayed next to the generation button.
Credit spend history is not available. You can only view your current credit balance and see credit costs before generating.

Adjusting your credit limit

Basic and Pro plans offer multiple monthly credit limits to choose from. You can increase your credit limit without upgrading to a different plan tier — just select a higher limit within your current plan. This lets you dial in a limit that feels right for your usage without paying for features you don’t need.

Get free credits

You can earn extra credits without upgrading your plan through two programs. Affiliate program: Become a partner and earn commissions. Apply at partners.dub.co/kive. Referral rewards: Share your AI generations on social media to earn credits. Click Affiliate and Free credits in the lower left corner of Kive to learn more.

Make your credits last longer

Smart generation habits can help you stretch your monthly credit allocation: Reduce number of versions during exploration: When experimenting with new ideas, generate fewer versions (1-2 images) instead of the maximum. Once you’re happy with your direction, increase the count for your final batch. Turn off Max Res: Max resolution doubles credit costs when generating product images. Use standard resolution while exploring and experimenting, then enable Max Res for final, production-ready images.
