Transform images with Agent by describing what you want to change. Agent can remove backgrounds, change scenes, extend compositions, improve details, and create new results from your source image.

How editing tools work

Agent analyzes the image, your prompt, and any reference images you attach. It chooses the right editing workflow, asks for extra details when needed, and returns a new result without changing the original asset.

Start an edit

The standalone Edit page in the top navigation was retired on 25 Aug 2026. Every edit is still available. You can start from three places:
  • Create — Open a generation. You stay on the Create page, and the in-image chat panel opens on the right with quick actions tailored to the image or video and a prompt input. It uses Chat mode for generations you created directly and Agent mode for generations created by Agent.
  • Organize — Open a saved item, then click Edit in the header. Kive opens Agent in a new session with that image attached.
  • Agent — Click Agent in the navigation bar. Reopen any saved session from the sidebar to continue where you left off, or start a new session and attach the image you want to edit.
Agent edits create a new asset rather than a new version of the original item.

Common edit requests

General edits — Describe freeform changes using natural language. Edit image layers — Move, resize, rotate, remove, or send individual objects to the prompt. You can’t ask Agent for this in a prompt: hover a generated image in Agent and click Edit (the pencil icon). On smaller image tiles, open the image menu and click Edit. See Edit image layers. Remove background — Isolate the subject on a transparent background. Replace objects — Ask Agent to swap objects or elements. Remove objects — Ask Agent to remove unwanted elements. Change background — Replace the entire background and lighting. Extend — Expand image boundaries with AI-generated content matching the existing scene. Upscale — Enhance and increase the resolution of an image.

After Agent returns an edited result:

Check the preview of your edit

Save

Save the result to your Library or a board, or download it.
To manage an item’s existing versions, open the item and click Versions.

Tips

Tip: Combine related changes in one Agent request when it saves credits. Tip: On Free, favor low-credit requests like remove background.
