# Kive Skills - agent-readable guide

> Skills are ready-made workflows the Kive agent runs for one specific job, from marketplace listing sets to localized ads. Describe the job and the agent picks the Skill.

Skills run inside the Kive agent chat. The agent selects one from the request, and a Skill can hand off to another when the job changes shape. They are not exposed over the MCP endpoint.

**What is a Kive Skill?**
A Skill is a ready-made workflow the Kive agent runs for one specific job, such as building a marketplace listing set or adapting an ad into Meta placements. Each Skill carries its own instructions, so you describe the job and the agent handles the steps.

**How do I use a Skill?**
Describe what you need in the Kive agent and it picks the matching Skill. One Skill can hand off to another when the job changes shape, for example from Ad Creative into Meta Ad Formats.

**Do Skills cost extra credits?**
Skills have no separate price. You pay credits for the images and videos a Skill generates, the same as any other generation in Kive.

**Can I try a Skill without an account?**
Yes. Every Skill page runs the Kive agent for free with no account, up to two runs a day, each with one free refinement. Sign up to keep the results and continue.

**Which Skill makes Amazon listing images?**
Marketplace Listing. It produces a white-background main image plus supporting shots that follow marketplace rules for Amazon, Etsy, or Shopify.

**Can I create my own Skills?**
Not yet. Today's Skills are built and maintained by the Kive team.

**How are Skills different from Studios?**
A Studio is a visual direction: the look of the shot. A Skill is a job: the steps to a finished deliverable. A Skill can use Studios along the way.
